Star City Colony was founded in 1978, and has since grown into a mixed farming operation. We currently house a variety of animals on our farm including hogs, dairy cows, beef, laying hens, roaster chickens, ducks and geese. We also have a market garden and an ongoing farming operation.
Star City Meats (our meat shop) started operation in the latter part of 2008 in an older existing butcher shop.
We quickly outgrew that space and an expansion took place in 2011. The business kept growing to the point that the expansion soon became too small. We decided it was time to expand a 2nd time (hopefully this one will last). The original meat shop has grown several times and now consists of a kill floor, processing/packaging area and a storefront that is open to the public. We hope to see you here soon.
